More About Grace

Perhaps the best way to see just how special her temperament is, is to watch her videos! Even when large, brightly coloured, soft flex poles are placed over her and she is ridden around with them, Lady Grace remains completely relaxed. While many ponies might find this a little unusual, Lady Grace seems to think it is the most normal thing in the world. A wonderful example of her sensible attitude, incredible patience and trust in her surroundings!

This beautiful mare was bred by her current owners and is an absolute sweetheart to have around. She loves attention and cuddles, is calm and friendly in the stable and enjoys building a bond with the people around her. Under saddle, Grace has a pleasant, forward-going attitude. She has plenty of energy, enjoys working and is willing to cooperate with her rider.

A Versatile Pony with Lovely Competition Experience

During her education, Grace spent some time in her owners' riding school. There, she was ridden by both intermediate and advanced riders, giving her experience with different people in the saddle. She then formed a lovely partnership with one of the yard's competition riders. Together, they are now jumping courses of 80 cm.

Grace has also attended her first competitions. She has shown herself to be well-behaved in unfamiliar surroundings and comfortable with the new experiences that come with competing. She shows a nice natural aptitude for jumping and has a willing attitude. With further training and competition experience, there are certainly opportunities for her to continue developing in sport.

Homebred and Successful at the Studbook Inspection Grace was bred and raised by her current owners. They have known her since birth and are incredibly proud of the pony she has become. In 2025, Grace achieved first place at a Connemara Studbook Inspection. A wonderful result and lovely recognition for this attractive mare.

Her early education also went smoothly. Grace was easy to back and was pleasant to ride for different riders right from the beginning. Her willingness to learn, cooperative attitude and lovely temperament make her a pleasure to work with every day.

An Absolute Sweetheart in Everyday Life Away from riding, Grace is just as lovely. She is well-behaved when being groomed and cared for. According to her owners, even their eight-year-old son can groom her without any problems. She also loads easily onto both a horsebox and a trailer. She gets along well with other horses, is sociable in the herd and knows how to find her own place within the group.

Medical history: In 2024, Grace underwent surgery following a small fracture of the coffin bone (pedal bone) within her hoof. During the procedure, a screw was inserted to stabilise the fracture. According to the available veterinary information, the fracture has healed well. Grace has recently undergone another clinical and radiographic examination, and according to the veterinary report, the findings were satisfactory. According to her owners, Grace has shown no signs of lameness since resuming her training. She is now back in regular work under saddle, both in training and at competitions. As a preventive measure, Grace is shod on her front feet every six weeks.

The veterinary report and recent X-rays are available in the attachments to this listing. Interested buyers are, of course, welcome to have this information reviewed by their own veterinarian.

Grace's owners hope to find her a wonderful new home where she can continue her education with the right guidance and where her lovely temperament will be truly appreciated.
